Mens Fit Guide

We've carefully designed our mens larger sized cycle wear so that it has more room for large tummy's and broader shoulders

To get the right size just use your actual chest and belly measurements at their largest point and our size chart. If you need help read our info below or email us for advice

How cycle wear fits when you're stood in front of the mirror is not how it will fit when you are on the bike so it's important to adopt cycling position (arms out stretched, legs bent) to feel how the gear fits

Top Tips For Getting the Right Size

  • Measure your chest and belly at their largest point, with your arms relaxed by your sides
  • Arms by your sides is key to getting an accurate bust measurement
  • Don't rely on you hight street jacket/jeans size as these vary too much

JERSEYS AND JACKETS

  • Our jerseys have 'ease' built in so you don't need to size up to get a comfy fit
  • Our jackets and gilets are sized to fit over a jersey
  • Some jackets have less stretch so look out for specific information in the product description for additional sizing information
  • If you are between sizes, the smaller size will be a bit snug and the larger size will be loose
  • If your belly is larger than your chest and you don't want something clingy then size up but if you go up more than 1 size the chest and shoulders may be baggy
  • Baggy isn't always best and sometimes a snugger fit can look and perform much better than a larger option
  • If you like a very snug, stretch fit, go down a size (or 2)
  • Road cycling tops are shorter at the front and longer at the back because your body changes shape when in cycling position
  • Although road gear is designed to be snug fitting there is no wrong or right way for a jersey/jacket to fit, it's up to you and what you feel most comfortable in. However in order to get the maximum benefit from the wicking and breathable fabrics we use, they need to be in contact with your skin
  • Very loose jackets can be noisy and 'balloon' in the wind
  • Just email us with your measurements and height if you need help

BIBS

  • Fitting bibs is tricky because your leg, bottom, height and belly size will ALL affect the final fit
  • Measure your belly at its largest point and use our size guide
  • It may take trying on 2 or 3 sizes to get the right size
  • If you need help with our size guide email us with your measurements
  • Bibs should fit snug to the body without excess fabric around the crotch, thighs or bottom
  • If you are between sizes it's usually best to go down a size
  • If you have a very large belly you may need to go down a couple of sizes to fit the pad correctly. This can cause excess pressure on the belly area stitching, however if the stitching cracks it’s easily mended by your local repair shop and will not affect the shorts
  • Our Gear is tall and we work on a 6'+ (183cm+) frame but this doesn’t mean we can’t fit shorter people. We have customers who are 5’5” and 6’7”
  • Just email us with your measurements and height for help

Troubleshooting Bib Fit

  • Excess fabric on the crotch, thighs or bottom - go down at least one size
  • Legs are flappy - go down at least one size
  • Pad is not snug to the body - go down at least one size
  • Shorts fit on the torso but are baggy elsewhere - go down at least one size. This may mean that the belly fabric has to stretch a lot (see above) but you need to get the pad in the right place for them to work
  • Shorts are see through in cycling position - they are too small, go up a size
  • Bib is too tight across the shoulders or torso – go up a size
  • If you are unsure about the fit send us some photos of  wearing the bibs and we can help – don’t worry your photos are safe with us and there is nothing we haven’t seen before

What If I'm tall

Our tights are longer than most brands and we work on a 6’+ (183cm+) frame

Because the fabrics we use stretch in all directions, leg width and bottom size will affect the leg length as much as height and waist size

  • If you are over 6’4” (1.93cm) and have very long or very chunky legs you will probably need to go up a size
  • Over 6’6” (1.98cm) you may need to go up 2 sizes
  • Our Jewel bib shorts are longer than our Ey Ups
  • If you need help just drop us an email with your height, chest, build, waist and inside leg length

What If I'm short

Our tights are longer than most brands and we work on a 6’+ (183cm+) frame however we can usually still fit our shorter customers
Because the fabrics we use stretch in all directions, leg width and bottom size will affect the leg length as much as height and waist size

  • If you are under 5’10” (178cm) and have short or very slim legs you will probably need to go down at least a size. This can cause excess pressure on the belly area stitching, however if the stitching cracks it’s easily mended by your local repair shop and will not affect the shorts
  • Our Ey Up Bib Shorts are shorter than our Jewels
  • If you need help just drop us an email with your height, chest, build, waist and inside leg length

Inside Leg Measurements

READ THIS, then email us with your height, waist and chest measurement and your overall build

Items which use stretch fabrics don’t have an inside leg measurement because your torso, leg and bottom size will also affect the finished leg length

So, if your legs and bum are chunky, this 'shortens' the garment leg length, similarly if you have a skinny bum and legs, this 'lengthens' the leg length

Two people of the same size and height, one with skinny legs and one with chunky legs will get different inseam measurements from the same item

This is why the inseam measurement CAN NOT be relied upon as an indicator for the final length, nevertheless here it is, because lots of you ask for it!

UNDER SHORTS

Our Undershorts fit is very similar to our road bibs

MTB JERSEYS

Our MTB jerseys are BIG. Use your chest and belly measurements at their largest point to order

  • If you are between sizes go for the smallest
  • Check the measurements below against a garment you already have as these jerseys are very large!

MTB BOTTOMS

Our MTB bottoms have a stretch tummy panel which should fit high around the waist. The leg is gently tapered

The waistband is very stretchy and there is less stretch in the leg fabric, therefore if you are between sizes, we recommend you go down a size
