An awesome day of cycling through the breathtaking Yorkshire and Lancashire countryside with £5 from every place being donated to help Calder Valley residents effected by the 2015 floods.


Setting off from the iconic Leeds United football stadium the ride heads up Elland Road and deep into the Calder Valley taking in some spectacular scenery and renown cycling territory it passes through many of the towns which were worst hit by the floods of 2015 including Sowerby Bridge, Todmorden, Ripponden, Elland and Hebden Bridge.

There are hills without doubt, but our emphasis as always is on enjoying the ride and offering interesting, varied, challenging and well balanced rides, that you only get with local knowledge.

Join us for an ace day out, meet some of the LUFC and FLAB community and leave wanting more. Not more to eat however - our lunch stops are legendary!

There are 3 options to choose from, so there is definitely one for you.

25 MILER

A FAIRLY EASY RIDE WHICH WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD TASTE OF YORKSHIRE CYCLING.

Setting off from the iconic Elland Road stadium and heading up Elland Road the route undulates through rolling countryside and the characterful stone towns and villages of Calderdale and South West Leeds, with their strong industrial heritage, traditional terraced houses, upright chimney pots and imposing Victorian architecture, finishing back at the club for a well earned bite to eat and to swap stories of your day!

50 MILER

A CHALLENGING INTERMEDIATE, MID LEVEL RIDE.

Setting off from the iconic Elland Road stadium and heading out through the bustling market towns of Brighouse and Elland the ride takes you through the dramatic and varied landscape of the Calder Valley and into the South Pennines.

The rides travels through breathtaking countryside and over tranquil moorlands and has it’s fair share of climbing. 

You will pass through characterful stone towns and villages such as Sowerby Bridge and Luddenfoot with their strong industrial heritage, traditional terraced houses, upright chimney pots and imposing Victorian mills and onto the cute little village of Cragg Vale before embarking on your greatest challenge of the day, the climb to the rural uplands of Blackstone Edge From where, weather permitting, you will be able to see as far as the mountains of North Wales.

A steep decent will bring you to the ancient village of Ripponden, which hosts the annual UK Pork Pie Festival and with the climbing behind you, you will roll the last 30 or so km back to the club for a well earned bite to eat and to swap stories of your day!

A SPECTACULAR RIDE, TAKING IN SOME OF THE ICONIC ROUTES FROM THE TOUR DE FRANCE/YORKSHIRE.

Setting off from the iconic Elland Road stadium and heading out through the bustling market towns of Brighouse and Elland the ride takes you through the dramatic and varied landscape of the Calder Valley and into the South Pennines.

The rides travels through breathtaking countryside and over tranquil moorlands and has it’s fair share of climbing. 

You will pass through characterful stone towns and villages such as Sowerby Bridge and Luddenfoot with their strong industrial heritage, traditional terraced houses, upright chimney pots and imposing  Victorian mills. The route continues through the charming, bohemian town of Hebden Bridge, before climbing over to the Lancashire side of the South Pennines, passing Todmorden with its stunning vistas and magnificent architecture, through Baccup and Whitworth and down to Rochdale and Littleborough before embarking on your second major climb to the rural uplands of Blackstone Edge From where, weather permitting, you will be able to see as far as the mountains of North Wales.
